AntiSpam mods - blocked over 600 bogus registrations to date

Dear all

Thank you for bearing with me regarding the changes to registering for this site. I check all registrations daily and so, as long as you fill out the form correctly, you should be able to access the site within 24 hours at the most.

So far, the anti-spam mods I have added to the board have prevented over 600 bogus account registrations in the last 4 weeks.

Many of these attempts, had they been successful, would have resulted in pornographic or advertising images and links being added to the board which I am trying very hard to keep as 'clean' as possible.

Many of the visitors to this site are school children or teachers and the routecard is felt to be an educational tool. It is intended that this resource will remain eternally 'free' to use.

Please note... no email details will be passed on to any third parties whatsoever. Your personal information is stored in an encrypted database and will never be disclosed to anyone...EVER!
